BASIC INSTINCT

lifecoachingmelbourne

This morning I felt a burst of love for my parents and decided to give them a call. Conversations with my dad usually consist of a few motivational sayings that he's picked up from his week (really helpful for me as a Life Coach), and words of encouragement to dream big (Incredible, I know!) Today however, he mentioned something quite spectacular.

"Your grandmother had the belief that if you're born in this world, you're taken care of. In fact, she believed that the very fact that you exist means that you will be looked after wholeheartedly by the universe. Take this for granted".

Wait, what?! How different would my life have been if I actually believed that from the day I was born. How different would our world be if every single person believed that the very act of them existing on this planet means that their survival is taken care of?

I'm starting to believe, (and as a result seeing evidence day in day out), that Survival is not our basic instinct. Our most basic instinct is Divinity. Because who we really are KNOWS that survival is not the issue. It KNOWS that survival is guaranteed. There's no question about it. The only question is: How? In what form? Why? And for what purpose?

As I get older, I realise how most of my thoughts about family, love, money and the world aren't even mine! I've just adopted these from my parents and made them my own. I've formed beliefs that are based on what was taught to me about the world by my parents. And this isn't irregular, in fact, it's overtly normal. As kids, we're like sponges. We absorb everything our parents say and think of the world and make it our own. They've given us a map of the world, and we've built our terrain within it.

Being reminded that my most basic instinct is Divinity resonates with me deeply. I'm not sure how or why, but it just makes sense. Why try and make sense of it intellectually, when the message resonates within the depths of my soul? Something that can't be proven, but only felt.

So now I ask you, how would you be living your life differently if you wholeheartedly believed that you're being looked after by the universe?

Love,

Sanya
